Our story starts with Dominick Maiolo and the local security business he established in 1982. The generations that followed built their careers around a simple responsibility: take care of the people who trust you to protect them.
That firsthand experience shaped NJB Protection. In 2019, Michael Maiolo and Michael Schulz co-founded a national company to give organizations the personal attention of local providers with one team coordinating their security program.
In 2024, NJB Protection acquired NJB Security Services, Inc., bringing the original business into the national organization. Today’s NJB carries that history forward while connecting people, intelligence, and technology to meet changing security needs.
